A Timeless Muse.....

Do you love the majesty of the redwoods? The timelessness of the oak?
The playfulness of the dogwood? I’ve never been able to pick a favorite—have you?

Perhaps you too have found yourself relaxing in the cool shade of a lovely maple, gazing up through the mosaic pattern of leaves, branches and sky....

Artistic expression has been a part of my identity for as long as I can remember. And throughout my adolescence, as I dabbled in painting, sketching, sculpting, and writing, a recurring muse began to emerge in my work-- trees.

I sketched trees. I painted trees. I sculpted trees. I wrote poetry about trees.

It became quite a fetish....

In 2008, I began creating original wall art to market and sell to the public. Over several years, as I created new work for each festival and exhibit, I would always include a "tree or two" for my regular buyers and souls, like me, that were drawn in by tree-art.

In 2015, after stumbling upon a "new" technique, I decided to follow my heart and make trees the FOCUS of my body of work. This, in turn, led to the creation of my "Wildwood Series," which is now the most meaningful work I have created thus far.

Trees have been a muse of artists for centuries. We just never become bored with painting the trees.

Trees make us happy. Trees calm our souls. Trees bring us joy.

For me, there is nothing more gratifying than sculpting a textured, abstract image of a tree.
