Each artisan mirror is hand-rendered and made to order using a unique process.

From the BACK of the mirror, the silver is removed in a controlled manner, exposing the clear glass.

The custom designs are then reverse-painted

using various paints, stains, and metallic leafing materials.


Sizes, designs, and color schemes can be created to your taste and order.

New style meets old technique



Reverse painting on glass is a VERY old technique, sometimes referred to as, "verre eglomise," which involves the process of guilding the glass with metal leaf.


Yes, each Artisan Mirror by Ruby Rose Studio is created by painting the designs on the BACKS of the mirrors. Gold leafing, paints, and stains are applied (in reverse) once the silver has been lifted, exposing the clear glass.
